Now I can drag a file to my docklet, and drop it into the correct “To Import” folder. I added these folders to Butler’s docklet if you don’t use Butler, you could add them to your Dock. I gave distinct custom icons to the “To Import” folders of the two EF LIbraries I most often need to drag things to. I’d thought I share my (current) solution. So I searched the forums and did some experimenting of my own for some alternatives. EagleFiler Download (Free Trial) Buy EagleFiler Organize files, archive e-mails, save Web pages and notes, search everything. EagleFiler’s capture key works for some things, but there are times when I want/need a drag-and-drop option. Together’s shelf seemed much handier that EF’s drop pad.Įven the Together’s shelf didn’t quite do what I needed, as I couldn’t have multiple libraries on the shelf at one time. EagleFiler 1.4.2 from C-Command Software takes a different approach in that it creates a drag area that reflects text descriptors of the items and a preview pane underneath with text.

A few questions I have are: Is it possible to have a monochrome sidebar - I find the coloured folder icons keep distracting me Can the order of the permanent smart folders be adjusted so that unfiled and untagged are on the top Is it possible to nest a smart folder inside a normal folder Is it. It was clear early on that I preferred EagleFiler’s ways of doing things in all but one respect. I am trying out EF as an alternative to KeepIt in part due to the email archive options of EF. My thinking on this topic has been motivated and encouraged in part by an article by #EAGLEFILER FOR MAC FULL# I have a KM macro with JavaScript that selects just the current post or code block, and then calls the EN Clipper.EN Clipper 6.10 for Chrome (and Safari in a week or so) was just released a few days ago.I'm still running 6.9.2 for another week or so.EN Mac is now on Ver 6.10 (just released about a week ago). When was the last time you gave Evernote a serious test/review? Prefer to build custom with KM + other apps. There is an AppleScript available for copying DT notes to Evernote.I have other KM Macros and AppleScript not posted - I need to update.I have posted many Evernote Macros here. But I have substantial augmentation of Evernote using AppleScript and KM.The Evernote Search, and Spotlight Search are excellent.I make great use of Evernote many times a day. My suggestion is before you reinvent the wheel, reconsider Evernote. Just for reference, here are my most used Evernote Macros and ScriptsĬan Evernote be used without any account, without any Internet connection?(I don’t sync to other devices.) I'd be glad to answer any questions you may have.
